International Conference Starts at RUET

Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) arranged two-day international conference which started at the auditorium on December 28, 2012.

Researchers, engineers and technicians from country and abroad took part in the inaugural session of the conference at RUET. Professor Yusohinori Namihira from Japan spoke and Asom Kumar Khan of India presented the keynote paper on ‘Theoretical and Practical Perspective’ while Dr. MA Samad from Kuwait presided over the session.

Earlier, a video presentation was held at 10:00am to 10:15am and resource persons spoke at 10:15 to 11:00am in the conference. Besides that there were three technical sessions were also held in the first day. At least 165 papers including 140 of Bangladeshi researchers will present during the two-day conference presented by the researchers from 14 countries including different universities of Bangladesh.

“We feel proud to host the international conference on our campus” said by RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sirajul Karim Chowdhury. To inspire the young generation of the country such type of conference should be arranged more and more, he added.

NU Admission Test Results Published on Dec 27 Midnight

The first year honors admission test results of National University (NU) under the academic session 2012-13 have been published at 12.01 am midnight on December 27, 2012 .

To get the result in your mobile phone type – NU (space) Roll Number (space) Pin Number and send it to 4636 number.

The admission process from the merit list will begin on January 1, 2013 and continue till January 10, 2013. All types of admission related information will be disclosed in the university website on January 1, 2013.

It is mentionable that, the admission test for admission in the first year honors courses of National University was held on December 7, 2012. But the results haven’t been published till December 26, 2012.

NSTU Honors Admission Test Results Published

The 1st year honors admission test results of Noakhali Science & Technology University (NSTU) have been published. The admission test result of A unit published on December 25, 2012 and the admission test results of B & C unit published on December 26, 2012.

The viva and subject selection date of C Unit merit list (1-140) will be held at 10 am on January 20, 2013 while for B unit merit list (1-60) at 3 pm.

On the other hand, the viva and subject selection date of A unit merit list (1-150) will be held at 10 am on January 21, 2013 while A unit merit list (151-300) candidates subject selection at 10 am on January 22, 2013; A unit merit list (301-500) candidates subject selection at 10 am on January 23, 2013 and A unit merit list (501-660) candidates subject selection at 10 am on January 22, 2013.

Students have to be getting admitted from 20-24 January, 2013.

For admission, students have to come along with original and attested photocopies of certificates and mark sheets, 5 copies of passport size photograph, quota related certificates for quota applicants, 19000 BDT for A unit as admission fee, 17000 BDT for B unit and 17500 BDT for C unit. Deadline of Sydney Achievers International Scholarship on Jan 15, 2013

The Sydney Achievers International Scholarships provides new international students who wants to study in University of Sydney in Australia. These prestigious scholarships are aimed at attracting high achieving, academically meritorious, international students to enjoy the ‘Sydney experience’ at one of the finest institutions of higher education in the world.

Up to 100 of these prestigious Scholarships will be offered in 2013 to high achieving, academically meritorious, international students.

For the undergraduate scholarships, each scholarship has a value of AUD$10,000 per annum, available for a maximum of three years, (total value AUD$30,000) for any Undergraduate program offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year).

For the postgraduate scholarships, each scholarship has a value of AUD$10,000 each, available as a one-off award (AUD$10,000 each per annum, (ie, $15,000 in total for a 1.5 year program, $20,000 in total for a 2 year program) for any Postgraduate Coursework program offered at the University of Sydney.

For undergraduate scholarships, applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an international senior secondary qualification accepted by the University with an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 98* or equivalent.

For postgraduate scholarships, applicants must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree qualification with a minimum high distinction average as based on the Australian grading system. Students who have already commenced postgraduate studies, or students transferring from other postgraduate programs are not eligible.

The deadline for receipt of applications and complete supporting documentation (academic and English language proficiency results) is 15 January 2013 (for Semester 1, 2013) and 30 June 2013 (for Semester 2, 2013). Applications received after these deadlines will not be considered.
