More 1,370 Students Passed in HSC Result Review | 2,167 Students Result Changed

A number of 1,370 students have successfully passed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations after a review of their answer sheets.
The results of 2,167 more students have been changed.
Ten boards – eight general, one madrasa and one technical – published the results of the review of the answer sheets on September 10, 2013.
Over 10,12,581 candidates had taken part in this year’s HSC examinations held under the eight general boards, Alim under Madrasa Board and HSC Vocational/BM (Business Management) and DIBS under Technical Board.
Of them, 236,888 applied for re-examination of their answer sheets after the results were published on Aug 3.
According to Technical Board Controller Md. Nurul Islam, the highest number of 1,111 students had come out successful after re-check under his board.
The chairmen and exam controllers said 144 students passed in Dhaka, 11 in Dinajpur, five in Sylhet, 25 in Comilla, 12 in Rajshahi, 17 in Jessore, 22 in Chittagong, 12 in Barisal and 11 in madrasa boards.
Moreover, 526 students of Dhaka, 50 of Dinajpur, 23 of Sylhet, 71 of Comilla, 75 of Rajshahi, 87 of Jessore, 90 of Chittagong, 20 of Barisal, 1,193 of technical and three of madrasa boards had their results changed.
Rajshahi board’s Controller of Examinations SMA Huraira said the examiners sometimes forgot to grade answers or made mistake in tallying the marks.

DU Online Admission Process Begins at 12 pm on Sept 12, 2013

First year honors admission process of Dhaka University (DU) for the academic session 2013-14 begins from 12 pm on September 12, 2013.
Application can be done via university website http://admission.eis.du.ac.bd.
University VC Professor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique will inaugurate the admission process at 12 pm at the central admission office of administration building, Room No 214.
The application process will continue till September 30, 2013, 12 pm.
Students who have passed HSC/equivalent exams in 2012/13 or passed SSC/equivalent exams after 2008 can apply.

JnU Honors Admission Process Begins Tomorrow (Sept 13)

The 1st year honors admission process of Jagannath University (JnU) for the academic session 2013-14 will start from September 13, 2013 (tomorrow).
Admission seekers can buy admission forms from September 13 to October 10 using Teletalk mobile service.
JnU registrar office sources said a total of 2,760 seats are available in 31 departments of five faculties. The faculties are Science (unit A), Arts (unit B), Commerce (unit C), Social Science (unit D) and Fine Arts (unit E).
The admission tests of D unit will begin on November 1, B unit on November 8, C unit on November 15, A unit on November 22 and E unit on 23 November. The admission test of all units will be held in between 3:00pm and 4:30pm.
